Every weekend a new logic riddle is published here (please forgive me, if real life now and then forces me to delay the publishing) and old riddles are moved to the archive. Every riddle has been constructed and tested by me, but still I won't guarantee that they "work". Never mind, go ahead and try!
5 students of meteorology are doing their thesis for their masters degree. They are in various stages, and have chosen various subjects of various reasons.
Dans subject is Thunderstorms, while Daves subject is quite different. The one who writes about icebergs chose them, because their size is fascinating. The one whose subject is snowflakes chose them because of their beauty and not because of the force and power. The person whos right now writing on his thesis chose the subject, because its something you encounter in daily life. Laura is doing the computer modelling now. Bob is almost finished - he just has to defend his thesis. The one whos still reading isnt reading about icebergs. Nicolas is into Cumulus clouds, but is at present not observing and collecting data. The one who picked "Convection in general" chose it, because its so basic. Nicolas is writing, while Laura does snowflakes. Bob doesnt care about size.
Why did Dan choose his subject?
