4 boys have just each bought an ice-cream cone, each containing three scoops of ice. The ice-cream man only sells vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice. Mike has twice as many scoops of chocolate as vanilla, and he loathes strawberry. Dave and Joe have the same number of vanilla scoops. The ice-cream man sold 3 strawberry scoops in all to the 4 boys. Will didn’t get vanilla. Joe didn’t get any of the 6 scoops of chocolate that were sold. Both Joe and Dave have strawberry, but Joe has more than Dave.
