NerdBird's Riddle Archive

In the beginning of every month, I publish a bunch of new riddles - 4-5 every time, as it's supposed to be one per week. Every riddle has been constructed and tested by me, but still I won't guarantee that they "work". Never mind, go ahead and try!

Riddle #91 (published January 31, 2000)

4 women are travelling to certain destinations. In the security control in the airport, they're all stopped, as the scanner shows some "mysterious" things, which after further investigation turn out to be very normal things.
The woman with the yellow nylon suitcase is going to Paris. The woman with the green plastic suitcase has bought a plaything for her granddaughter and this thing triggers the alarm. The woman going to Stockholm triggers the alarm by having an alarm clock in her suitcase. Anna's suitcase is made of black leather, and Doris is going to New York. Margaretha triggered the alarm with some jewellery. The blue cotton suitcase is not the suitcase that contains a pair of scissors, and the woman going to Egypt doesn't bring any jewellery with her.

The 4th woman is called Evelyn... what kind of material is her suitcase made of?
